"Bao Hui"

After many weeks of working on him, I'm so pleased to introduce Bao Hui! He is such a sweetheart of a panda cub! His name means "Baby Ash" named for the color of his fur. He is 9 inches long.

Bao Hui is a one of a kind artist panda bear cub completely designed and hand sewn (no machine sewing) by me, Melisa Nichols. He is very detailed and as such he is his own unique individual and can not be duplicated ~ a true one of a kind. Many, many hours of love and effort went into this creation!

Because of all this detailed work, I will never be able to create another panda bear cub just like Bao Hui. I do not work with patterns - just from photos and drawings, so there is no pattern he can be remade from.

I've taken lots of photos of Bao Hui and I hope you enjoy seeing them all!

Bao Hui is made from very soft white recycled rabbit fur. I hand shaded his panda markings with archival quality pigment and acrylic paint.

Bao Hui's adorable face is full of detail! His face has been thread sculpted, scissor sculpted and hand shaded. He has soulful black glass eyes with eyelids that can be posed open or closed. His mouth is wired so it can be posed. His mouth is leather with a thread sculpted tongue and teeth that I hand sculpted with epoxy clay.

Bao Hui also has a realistic epoxy clay nose which I hand sculpted without a mold.

Bao Hui's little leather paws were very time consuming. I scissor sculpted and thread sculptedthem. I also hand sculpted claws for him out of epoxy clay.

Bao Hui is completely hand sewn and filled with polyfil, pellets (in his tummy), and an extra portion of cuddles. He is fully armatured for lots of fun poses!

Bao Hui will arrive in a special box with hang tags that include his birth date, a picture of him and a signed Certificate of Authenticity. He is a collectable panda bear cub made for display only - not suitable for children due to small parts. Any props are not included in the auction unless otherwise stated.
