Possibly the best unicycle in the world!
That's a pretty ballsy claim to make - but here's why;
At under 7kg this is a seriously light and nimble unicycle. Low gear gives you all the maneuverability and hill climbing you need, but with a flick of the ankle, the Schlumpf internally geared hub runs the wheel at 1.5 times the speed you pedal for a nice cruising speed or out and out racing speeds. I've clocked myself over 26mph on this, although suspect I've been faster at times too. It is ideal for commuting (I covered around 80 miles a week whilst working in London), ideal for light off-road (It was perfect for getting across the South Downs Way in 2 days), wonderful for touring (I've been to every corner of the England on this), and an out and out racer too (It finished 13th in the Ride The Lobster 800km unicycle race in Nova Scotia) Selling this will break my heart. But, sadly, due to my knees packing in, I've not ridden it for about 3 years and this is not likely to change. It is only fair to give someone else a chance to enjoy it - and to recoup some of the £1800 I've spent on it :-) I am happy to ship it to anywhere in the UK, although collection from Nottingham is encouraged (I'll be happy to meet you up to 50 miles from Nottingham if you want) International bidders - Whilst I am happy for people outside of the UK to bid on this, you must arrange your own courier to collect it. I can box it up securely and make it available to collect, but it is down to you to get a quote and pay for collection yourself. The weight is just under 7kg plus packing (should be no more than 10kg inc packing) and will be around 900 x 900 x 250mm |
