This lot is for 50 g of pure linen yarn. You are getting 240 m/260 yards. The photos should give you the idea of the YARN you will be receiving. The pictures are enlarged to show texture. For your convenience I will wind it into a ball. The size of the ball on the picture is approximate (after it was made and before it was packaged).
Fingering
This yarn comes from Europe where a different weight system is used. There is no really a standard conversion chart to help me with finding the American equivalent.
To convert it to the US weights I found the definition of Fingering weight as
having 24 to 30 wraps per inch (wpi) -1800 to 2400 yards per pound (see spinderellas dot com for more information). Compared to other brands this yarn may appear thinner and some customers say it's LACE. I provided as much characteristics of this yarn (Tex, Lea, wpi) as I could to give you an idea what to expect.
Use this fingering weight yarn in your projects by itself, ply with other thin linen yarn , or, if you are ready for a challenge, dye it to the color you want.
