More new Oxford tooling will please emergency services collectors, with the introduction of the J1 Lomas Ambulance. In real life, the Bedford J1 was built in large numbers and saw service with many authorities from the early 1950s to well into the 1970s. The bodywork was named after its designer Herbert Lomas and the vehicles proved very efficient. They were seen everywhere, particularly in the 1950s-1960s. The usual colour schemes were white or cream, as shown on the 76BED002 the second release, but the J1 also appeared more unusually in pale blue, green and grey. Each of these colour schemes is planned for future Oxford releases
