Fresh from a local estate comes this wonderful American art glass paperweight. It is decorated with colorful fruit on a white lattice background. The body is multi faceted around the top and bottom halves plus one facet on top. It has a concave polished pontil also. It measures approximately 1-7/8 inches tall by 2-7/8 inches across at its widest. The weight is in very fine condition with absolutely no chips, cracks or pock marks; just a few minor scratches mentioned for accuracy. A very wonderful example overall. I have been notified by a few individuals that this paperweight is actually Chinese in origin and made sometime during the 1930s. The painting inside is of Pansies and not fruit. Although made in the sandwich glass style, it is not antique American sandwich glass as I had thought. I apologize for any confusion and to anyone having placed a bid up to this point. Thank You.
