Listing is for a brand new single Mitsubishi 300mW 635nm laser diode part number ML520G71. 





Here is what you get. A single brand new diode with long clean pins. These diode are not harvested from anything they are direct from the manufacturer.


Diodes are sensitive and should not be run or soldered until pressed in a module/heatsink. Diodes are current hungry and as they heat up their internal resistance is lowered causing them to want to draw more current. Don't attempt to connect the diode directly to a fixed voltage source like a battery. You must use a "constant current" power source like a current limiting driver or variable current power supply with the current limited to no more than 800mA or you diode will suffer thermal runaway and die. Laser Driver - It Can Be Done!

Diodes are tested to be in working order and packaged in an antistatic bag. Please use ESD precautions and short your driver leads discharging any capacitors before hooking up your driver to the diode.

These are multi-mode display diodes similar to the 1W+ 445nm diodes. Check these threads for info on output and beam correction.
