We strive to bring mainly affordable, quality vintage glassware but we will included, from time to time, other treasures we may run across to you.  Whenever we travel, rest assured that we will return with new and exciting finds to share with you.

Restored glassware will be offered occasionally at reduced cost as starters for your new collection, to be upgraded later.

Every effort is made to accurately portray and describe each piece of vintage glassware. Photos are taken indoors under incandescent lighting.

Antique (100 yr old) glassware has certain flaws and imperfections which do not exist in today's glassware.  Antique glassware may have some or all of the following:  air bubbles, inclusions (ash, cinder), straw marks (shear marks), tool marks, incomplete or malformed edges, legs of differing lengths, worn iridescence - missing iridescence - pooled iridescence, heat checks (internal fissures from uneven cooling); rough seams, extra glass at seams, webbing between edge points...etc.

Remember that back in the day, glass was produced in dirty factories; cut with cold shears producing "straw marks"; hand pressed into moulds that themselves would begin to wear, lessening detail; hand-sprayed with metallic salts (several times) and sometimes refired for effect.  The edge treatments - ruffled, candy ribbon, pie crust, 3-in-1 were all hand shaped (often leaving tool marks).

BE PREPARED FOR THE REALITY OF ANTIQUE GLASSWARE.

EXTERNAL BEAUTY OFTEN COMES WITH INTERNAL FLAWS
