Antique~Vintage Art Deco Circus Elephant BRONZE Lamp~Made by Nuart?~No Res

Description:  Up for auction is this great Art Deco lamp.  A circus elephant on a drum raised his trunk for good luck.  This is a very well made bronze lamp.  It is heavy weighing 7 lbs without the globe.  There are no markings indicating who the maker is but from some research on the net it is attributed to NUART.

The bronze is finished in a dark mahogany finish that reflects nicely off the white globe.  We have played with different bulbs and have found that a low watt (15 watt) accents the elephant very nicely.  A colored bulb also works nicely in this lamp.  This is really a great whimsical accent piece that would be great in a child's room or at the end of a dark hallway.

Size:  Base measures 9.5" X 4".  Height is 11" to the top of the globe.

Condition:  Condition is very good.  I have had the lamp re-wired.  There is a thumb screw to turn the lamp on and off about 6" from the lamp.  The globe has no chips, cracks or other damage.  I will place a felt pad on the bottom of the lamp before it ships to prevent scratching but wanted pics without to show that it is a bronze casting.

All said a very nice lamp that you don't see every day that might be of interst.

We will start the auction off with a low starting bid with no reserve……best of luck!!

Final Invoice:
Please keep in mind that the final invoice consists of three items: the USPS or UPS cost, insurance & handling fee (low cost fee that enables us to purchase quality shipping materials). We work very hard to keep this cost as low as possible. Please be assured that we do not make money on shipping and handling.

Our Auction Policy:
Almost all of our auctions start with a very low starting bid and no reserve. This is intentional. We would very much like to create as much as possible a “real auction” letting the market determine the value. We do not shill or protect our auction sales. With this in mind it is not possible for us to determine the cost of insurance until after the sale is over.
PLEASE DO NOT PAY FOR ANY ITEM THAT YOU HAVE WON UNTIL AFTER RECEIVING THE INVOICE FROM US.

Payment:
We ask that the winning bidder pay for the item within 3 business days. To show our appreciation we will ship within 3 business days or less.

Shipping Costs Within the USA:
If your shipping cost seems high please contact us. At times the shipping calculator is not accurate. In addition, depending on the size of the object and where you live it may be possible to ship via a flat rate box. Unfortunately, flat rate boxes are not always the cheapest way to ship!

Shipping Costs Outside the USA:
If your shipping cost seems high please contact us. As with shipping in the USA the calculator is not always accurate. Shipping outside the USA must be handled on a case by case basis. Many countries have limitations as the size of the package and weight. Also it may be possible to use a flat rate shipping box.
