This is a set of authentic JT Racing Gators that were worn by Johnny O'Mara at the 1982 Anaheim Stadium Supercross and given to a close friend of mine by Johnny after the race.  He saved these badass pieces of Motocross/Supercross history for thirty years and now they can be sitting on the mantle in your office or man cave, but it's going to cost you some dough.

I will personally get these gators signed by Johnny before shipping them to the lucky winner of this iconic treasure.  I'm willing to bet that Johnny is going to want these beauties back when he sees them and I don't blame him!  But I'm going to have to deny him.  These are one-of-a-kind and should be in a museum somewhere.  They still have the dirt on them from the roost thrown off Jeff Ward's rear tire as he and O'Mara battled for second place behind Donnie Hansen.  Here's a link to the race http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhZe82TvPDY.

My friend is reluctant to part with these, but after several drinks and my constant badgering, he buckled and agreed to sell them, but it's a hefty reserve amount.  Good luck and I hope someone wins these bad boys!

Check out my other items and feel free to bid this stuff up, because all money raised will go towards offsetting the cost of insuring my upcoming Big Air Kid's Fair at Loma Linda Children's Hospital.  I founded the event back in 1973 as a way for the motocross industry to give some love back to the community that supports it.   Each year I invite a handful of top Supercross stars and some industry friends to visit the patients, family and staff at the hospital in Loma Linda, CA., where Jeff Tilton, Ronnie Renner and some FMX pals do a freestyle ramp-to-ramp demo on the hospital grounds that has to be seen to be believed! The riders tour the hospital afterwards, signing autographs and handing out enough moto swag to sink a battleship, including pajamas, shirts, jackets, hats, posters, DVDs, games and beanies...even the families and the hard-working hospital staff are rewarded for all they do. It's the highlight of the year and a humbling event for all involved.

Over the next few weeks I'll be going through some boxes of my racing archives and will be cutting loose with quite a few items from my racing days of 1972-1984.  Check out my other items and check back often to make sure you don't miss out on some of the cool, old school stuff that I might decide to get rid of.  The stuff has just been sitting in boxes and I'd rather see someone enjoy it...besides, if I croak, my kid won't have any clue that there are twisted old motocrossers out there that might like this stuff and she'd probably just shitcan all of it!  LOL!
