This is the result of four things, 1. BSA A65 MK3 Spitfire 2. A farmer, 3. A welder 4. An imagination. Almost every part on this bikes frame has had some king of welding done to it. The front down tubes have broken at one time take a look at the supersized shocks welded to the front end no bloody wonder the frame broke. I rode the bike is it like riding a rigid front end the shocks are off a two ton ute. This is a genuine MK3 Spitfire it has the correct 190mm front hub and Borrani flanged alloy wheels. They are in excellent condition. The engine, gearbox and clutch are mechaically excellent. I cleaned the carbs, installed a new battery and the bike started first kick. Bidders bare in mind that a fully restored MK3 spitfire will sell for around $18K to $20k a good original runner will sell for $13k to $15K my reserve is considerably less than the aforementioned figures. I have sourced a original tank, side covers and set of intstuments which will go with the bike. Here is a chance for an enthusiast to buy a highly sought after running and riding super bike of the 60s for a fraction of the restored cost.
