Original Artist illustration of Spaceship by Frank Bellamy (1917 - 1976)

This is a remarkable original illustration for a comic book of the 1950s, 1960s or 1970s.  I have not researched whether this wasfor Dan Dare or some other futuristic story, but someone out there will know.  NEW INFORMATION BELOW!!

******** Latest information supplied by Norman Boyd, who runs the Frank Bellamy website & blog.  (This is an excellent and well researched site for all things that relate to comic book artists of this era.)  He has researched this artwork and advises that it is artwork for a Tee shirt design done by Frank Bellamy.  The link to his site is below and I can only thank him for his work on my behalf here.  It is selfless input like this that makes selling the unusual on eBay so much fun.  Thanks again Norman.
