This beautiful 11”x13” print of Seabiscuit is a limited
edition #14 of 200 from an oil painting by the California artist James Nelson
Slick. The painting was commissioned by Marcela Howard in 1940 who, with her
husband Charles S. Howard, were the owners of Seabiscuit. It is said that
this painting was Marcela’s favorite of the great thoroughbred. The print
was made available courtesy of the Seabiscuit Heritage Foundation and USMC Col.
Michael C. Howard (Ret), great grandson of CS Howard and Howard family
historian. On the back of the print is the hand written signature of Col.
Howard. All proceeds
