Coala Tree Organics was started by Jake “Charlie” Bessey and Cavin Nicholson in the summer of 2010. The name, pronounced ko-AWL-ah-tree, comes from references to growing or gardening where the top and center point of the plant that produces the best goods is named the main cola. Inspired by a desire to live a lifestyle centered around sustainability and living the high life, Jake and Cavin look to promote and spread a positive message to the action sports industry To inspire a movement that will help people recognize the importance of living a sustainable life by becoming more self-reliant and therefore less dependent on unnatural foods and goods - one grow-bag, one organic t-shirt and one community at a time.

The majority of their products are made from organic or recycled materials, passionate about sourcing the finest sustainable materials and in so doing; supporting organic farms throughout the world.

Along with great clothing, Coalatree sponsors a number of athletes and artists in different disciplines. Known as The Society, with names like Zach Lyons, Brian Delatorre, Jimmy Lannon, Ryan Lay, Ryan Spencer, Brandon Cocard, Brandon Hammid, Jordan Mendenhall, Hayden Price, Shaun Gordon, Zion 1, Daru Jones and many more all representing the company.
