Do you have/get numb hands, pins and needles and aches when you go on long distance rides and multi-day tours? We used to have this problem too! Whilst all these symptoms can be a result of other things such as the wrong size bike, wrong position on the bike or generally something more sinister (gulp - see a quack!) - they can be simply becasue your current bars have few or no alternative positions for your hands to rest. For, when you are cranking along merrilly, you may be holding your hands in one position for several hours. This can play havoc with the Ulnar nerve in your hand (which is roughy where the palm of your hands would rest on a straight bar or on the 'flats' of drop bars. The solution is to change the position of your hands every so often to relieve presure on one point. These excellent quality Raleigh butterfly bars offer various hand positions.
