Description
Offered in this listing is a very special, early 1900's French jewelry box ~ beautifully decorated on every side with ornate intertwining flourishes and florals.
Featuring a thick beveled glass, hinged lid with lotus flower clasp ~ it has four sturdy ball feet and a rich green tufted silk interior with original glass beads
Measuring approximately 3 1/4" x 2 1/4" x 1 3/4" high, this little box is just the right size to hold your favorite jewelry and perfect for your bedside table or vanity
The bottom is marked Made in France with maker's signature in very tiny letters just above (difficult to make out in photo, but definitely there)
This piece is in very good condition for it's considerable age and made of solid bronze (a magnet does not stick) with a silvery finish under some lighting conditions.
It has no damage ~ only light, age-appropriate wear from gentle use. The glass is excellent and the silk interior is surprisingly clean and has maintained it's integrity throughout the years.
