1946 Mercury convertible parts car with good frame, transmission and rear end. I HAVE A CLEAR OPEN TITLE! Has most of the convertible parts except the window regulators and windows. I have the right quarter window. Usual rust at bottoms of doors. Trunk lid is pretty solid-just surface rust. Same for the hood. With the convertible frame, braces and top portion of the body, you could convert a good coupe body into a convertible. Good grill surround and center grills. A convertible frame alone was recently listed on e-bay for $1,600. The following parts are included and most were stored inside:

Both inside windshield mldgs.

Inside and Outside Center Windshield mldgs.

Both outside windshield mldgs.

Left taillight stainless.

Right Taillight Complete (Lens broken)

Both sunvisor/top holddown brackets; Center top holddown bracket

All three top holddown clamps

Both trunk middle SS mldgs.

Both trunk lower SS mldgs.

Right side folding top frame

Both metal upholstery panels (beside rear seat covering top mechanism)

Both running board mldgs

Three upper fender mldgs  (narrow)

Both side hood mldgs

Both front fender lower mldgs

Both front fender top mldgs

Right rear fender

Misc. brackets, etc

I prefer to sell everything together as I don't have the time to list and ship each item. I may consider doing that in the future if it doesn't sell. If you need to see any more pictures, send me your e-mail address and I will send them to you. I can help load on your trailer. I am located about 45 miles south of the Charlotte Motor Speedway at Zip 29730.

On May-21-12 at 05:33:59 PDT, seller added the following information:

Mercury's have a 118" wheel base whereas Fords are 114". The extra length is from the firewall forward and the sheetmetal and trim is strictly Mercury. The sheetmetal and patch panels from the Ford will fit from the firewall back. The main difference being the extra holes needed in the trunk lid and rear fenders for the extra Mercury mouldings. The upper part of the body could be cut along the line where the side molding holes are and doing the same to a coupe would allow you to change the coupe to a convertible.
