If you have every yearned to go a little faster ? A little further ? Or just got tired of the feeling of riding in quicksand on a mountain bike ? Then perhaps this new Viking Phantom is the bike for you.

The Phantom is a new addition to the 2012 Viking road range. Designed as a budget entry level road bike it's constructed from high tensile steel tubing and has a relaxed road race geometry. Shimano handlebar mounted indexed shifters are fitted for effortless gear changing. Highlights include 36 hole double wall lightweight alloy rims and Shimano derailleurs.

The larger 700C wheels with narrow 23C tyres and higher gearing make it easier to achieve and maintain higher speeds than a mountain bike or hybrid. The Phantom comes equipped with a 14 Speed transmission using a 14-28 freewheel on the rear and a 38-48 double chainset. Powerful alloy side pull calliper brakes are fitted to slow the bike in all conditions. An ideal first bike for fun, commuting or mid-distance training.
