Hello here I have for sale my vw trike."unfinished project"

This is how the story goes, in 1994 I bought a honda 1979 CX500 with a blown up engine and at the same time I had a 1981 vw t25 transporter pick up which needed welding for mot.

I thought  to marry the two together to make a trike. 

I started as you see but then I met my wife to be and found other things to occupy my time.

The engine is the air cooled 1600 cc.

The V5C is here, in my name and this address. It states that the vehicle's body type is  'tricycle' which means it is fully and legally registered and I have amended the engine number and size to reflect the 1600cc engine now fitted on the registration document, so all is legal and proper.

The trike has been in the garage since about 1994 and I recently had to dig it out as the garage needs repair. I have fiddled with it and got it running again without much trouble, so you can start it up and hear it run.

Engine sounds good, no nasty knocks or rattles and drove very well when it was in the pick up.

Could do with new plugs, ht leads and filter changes to make it run better.

 The brakes need sorting to get them working and the gear linkage needs more thought as it could be better designed  but it will select gear, the lights etc were working but a bad earth during storage now gives a disco effect on the indicators, so will need some tlc also.

I am trying to be as honest as possible -  I could go on and on about what it needs to finish but would seriously recommend viewing before you bid as it will take time and parts will need to sourced to finish.

It is quite big at just under 6 foot wide.

I want to let the auction run to the end to get as much as possible for it, but have advertised elsewhere so may end early.

Good for an engine/gearbox and sell the rest or you could modify it as you see fit as it is already registered.

cash on collection preferred and you will need a trailer.  I may be able to sort something out delivery wise ONLY IF pre arranged AT EXTRA COST but would rather not have the hassle to be honest. 

Just put some more pictures on showing the log book and trike status and  i found some more bits,Headlamp Calipers and posibly the rear seat.started her up and pulled her forwards a bit (not much in the way of brakes yet)so the clutch is free and you can select gears.

please note i have the battery off my car on it so it will not go with the trike it is just there to start it up to show you it runs.
