This auction is for a Vintage Logging Springboard.  Invented because the Northwest forest terrain was so uneven and needing to place both loggers on “even” ground, Springboards were lodged in the notch of a tree by fallers to stand on while using cross cut saws and axes to fall a tree.  Kevin Johnson’s Early Logging Tools p. 84 has a good description of these old devices. This springboard does not have a manufacturer’s name.  It measures 55” in length and is about 6+” wide, weighing in at 14 lbs. 4 oz.  The toe, the triangle of metal on the end, has 3 bolts.  Check out the pictures and good luck bidding to own this piece of logging history, this Vintage Logging Springboard.

Due to the fact that most of the items I sell require specialized boxes and packaging, I will not try to combine shipping. However, should you win multiple items, I may be able to reduce your total shipping amount. For multiple winning bids, please wait for my new invoice before making payment.

Please check out my other items I have on auction right now for other interesting collectibles!

I am not shipping this item internationally.
