The Software bug in early software versions is fixed.

BMW Scanner is primarly a diagnostic tool for scanning and diagnosing vehicles. 

Although BMW scanner can perform IKE / LCM / EWS rewrite functions additional tools many be require some additional work to perform these actions. M35080 may require a special programmer- See below for details on some possible requirements.

Chassis Versions Supported
BMW Scanner 1.4.0 version supports the following chassis

• E38 (7')
• E39 (5')
• E46 (3')
• E53 (X5)
• E83 (X3)
• E85 (Z4)

BMW Scanner V1.4.0 intended to work with BMW 3, 5, 7 series, X3, X5 SUV and Z4 roadster cars.

   Reading and saving in files:
    - program memory

    - amount of DTCs and DTCs shadow-memory
    - live data
    - programming info (User Info Fields)
   Copying ZCS (IKE - EWS) and FA (IKE - LCM) coding

   "Unlocked" functions to show possibilities of full version:
   DTCs description in DME MS43.0, EWS3, SRS MRS4
   Clearing DTCs in same units
   EWS-DME synchronization code in DME MS43.0
   Live data in DME MS43.0, EWS3, SRS MRS2 and MRS4
   Status of all keys in EWS3
   EWS3 coding data interpretation
   Equipment correction in SRS MRS4

On EWS 3 (Mask 0D46J) you must solder a connection to allow unlock and erase function.

E38 / E39 / E36 / E46 Dash may require the use of a speed generation tool to ENABLE writing the IKE EEPROM by Diagnosis.  See digrams below for connection.
