Schindler's List

This exceedingly rare original Schindler’s List is the only one ever on the market. It emanates from the family of Itzhak Stern, Schindler’s accountant and right hand man (played by Ben Kingsley in the Academy Award-winning film). There are 3 others known which are in institutional hands. It is 14 pages in length and lists 801 male names, dated April 18, 1945. It is guaranteed authentic.

In 1964, Oskar Schindler said the following about what he did to help the Jews while standing in front of his modest residence in Frankfurt, West Germany:

"The persecution of Jews in occupied Poland meant that we could see horror emerging gradually in many ways. In 1939, they were forced to wear Jewish stars, and people were herded and shut up into ghettos. Then, in the years '41 and '42 there was plenty of public evidence of pure sadism. With people behaving like pigs, I felt the Jews were being destroyed. I had to help them. There was no choice.”

Itzhak Stern typed up the 14 page list on onion skin paper. Up for auction is not a copy of that list, but the actual one. It was sold by Itzhak Stern's nephew to the current owner. It is dated in pencil on the first page, April 18, 1945. The auction will also include a copy of the affidavit from Stern's nephew, recounting more details and provenance on The List. All sales are final. Per eBay's terms of service which every eBay account holder must agree to as part of being an eBay member, a bid is a legally binding contract. The winning bidder is legally bound to make payment if their eBay ID is the highest bidder, even if a higher bid has been removed/retracted, resulting in another eBay member username being the high bidder.
