Hi! Welcome to my auction.

I'm really excited to be offering my new Sokoke Scops Owl design. These owls, I believe, are native to Africa.
This cutie is just perfect for Halloween, Fall or anytime of the year.

Please scroll all the way down. I have a LOT of photos. :)

This cool Sokoke Scops Owl pattern is based on my love of antique toys,
vintage children's books, and pieces in my own collection.
I've been collecting antiques for 24 years now!
This darling Owl measures 10.5" tall, and has a wing span of  7" across. He was created from mohair and custom hand-tinted. He has German glass eyes. The eyes come clear with a black pupil, so they can be painted to suit your needs. I painted these the wonderful yellow color of owl eye's. His head is jointed, and can turn just like a real owl. He is stuffed with gravel and excelsior, so he has nice weight.  His wings are 4 separate pieces that I then joined together.  I cut individual pieces of mohair and layered them onto the wings to create his "feathers", then hand-tinted everything. I cute over 60 pieces to create his feathers. His beak is mohair backing formed over wire then painted.  He has grungy ribbons around his neck, and I added an antique safety pin with numbers embossed into it.  I created his feet from a heavy gauge wire and he can stand on his own.
I just love the way this Owl turned out!
He would be perfect to display on a shabby shelf, in an old, chippy cupboard, or with your other collectibles. :)
Each bear or animal is my own personal design. I give each one my touch of unique whimsy and character.
This Owl design is a Brady Bears Studio original.
This gorgeous Sokoke Scops Owl will come with my personal tags, signed by me,
Karen Brady of Brady Bears Studio.
