This is a unique vintage genuine Japanese haori/kimono jacket, made of silk with a quite heavy supple finish.

The jacket has an all-over woven design of houses in a landscape, in silver lame. The pattern is subtly glamorous, not overly sparkly. Some areas are filled in with gold or rusty red thread.

The half lining is cream silk, and has a pretty floral design. There is a family crest or mon, centre back, which shows that the jacket was made for a special occasion.

Traditional kimono styling, with square sleeves and open front which hangs beautifully.

Kimono jackets are very fashionable, worn with jeans and a t-shirt, or casually elegant with evening trousers. This jacket could easily be worn day to evening.

This jacket is very striking and would be wonderful as a gift for someone with a real sense of style.

The shape and drape makes it very easy fit and forgiving, but not bulky.

Why pay more for a high-street copy when you can have the real thing? So comfortable to wear, and very versatile.

Length 30.3" 77cm" approx. Width sleeve to sleeve 50" 127cm approx. Shoulder to shoulder 24.4" 62cm approx.

Japanese ladies are usually petite, but they wear these jackets very loosely over many layers of kimono and an obi. Worn over a simple top it would easily fit a UK size 10-14 and probably a 16.

Please remember that this is a true vintage item, not new. However, it appears to be in very good condition, and I have not noticed any problems.
