Ebay made me end the original auction for using the word "NOT" in the original title so here it is again without it.
This is an early style Mercury 25ss racing tower. This early style tower was prone to cracking by the exhaust spout due to the thin cast aluminum in that area and the vibration notorious with the 25ss engines. This tower is cracked but has been repaired by being welded as many racers did back in the 70's and 80's. The cracked area was stripped of the paint, then cleaned and reinforced with a solid piece of aluminum welded to the tower to support the inherent weak aluminum area. The only thing left on this repair is to clean up the aluminum welds prior to painting. There is one broken-off bolt where the cover is attached over the swivel pin hole. There is no water-tube or inspection cover. What you see pictured is what is being auctioned. Buyer pays USPS Priority mail shipping. Please ask any questions prior to bidding.
