Make sure to check out all of my auctions after you've looked at this one.  I'm listing another eclectic assortment of museum quality antiques and collectibles this week, and I suspect that there will be something of interest to just about everybody.  If you're heading out on vacation and would like me to hold your purchase for a week or two until you return, I'll be happy to do that.  However, all purchases must be paid for as soon as the auction ends.

Here's a beautiful, working 1925 Tower Adventurer cone radio loudspeaker.  The speaker was restored by authors/historians/restoration experts Buford and Jane Chidester, better known as the The Speaker People.  Its condition is amazing, as you can see.  For all practical purposes, the speaker looks like it did when it shipped out of the Tower factory 90 years ago.  Perfect paper cone, perfect cast iron frame, perfect paint (one tiny chip in the base), perfect driver cord, perfect driver -- the list goes on.

The speaker stands approximately 18" high.  The frame diameter is approximately 17".  It's been tested with a battery radio, and it sounds great.  It will work almost with any early battery radio that has at least 90v of B+ output and 2 stages of audio amplification.

Shipping weight, properly packed, will be approximately 20 lb.  The speaker's large paper cone necessitates its being shipped in oversized packaging to protect it while in transit.

That's about it.  Rest assured it will arrive at your home in the same fine condition in which it leaves mine. I have been shipping antique phonographs and radios for years, and if you check my feedback, you'll see that I know how to do it correctly.   Buyer prepays and includes shipping. If you're bidding from overseas, please contact me in advance for a shipping quote.
