I got this deck from the USA several years ago when I was a turntable collector. To me it is one of the best looking decks ever.

As it has a mains input requirement of 120V, 50/60Hz it is suitable for use world-wide once equipped with a local power supply unit. A heavy duty UK 220V-250V power supply unit comes with it.

It is in excellent operating condition and cosmetically the same apart from the odd little mark or minor dint here and there which really have to be looked for. They are normally not visible and have only been mentioned for accuracy's sake.

Micro Seiki and other Japanese 'luxury' deck manufacturers of the 70s and 80s always added a little bit of 'bling' to their decks and in this case the outer shoulder and edge of the aluminium platter on this deck have been highly polished which I find pleasing.

Mechanically and electronically it is excellent and holds the selected speed accurately and silently thanks to its quartz-lock electronics. Its large diameter feet have rubber centres which absorb all but the most violent knocks.

A great feature is the automatic arm lift and power off at the record's end or when the 'cueing' or 'off' buttons are pressed; a lazy persons delight.

Soundwise, it together with the Shure M75 6S cartridge supplied are a brilliant combination giving a firm, tight bass leading to a smooth mid-range and very clean treble. It is also very dynamic which is very important with my preferred music, jazz and rock. There is lots of life left in the stylus.

No lid is supplied as when I used it the lid was relegated to a cupboard where it stayed for years; it was only recently that I noticed that it had been cracked. Its lift-off hinges are supplied. Incidentally, I have found that local acrylic fabricators only charge about half as much for a new lid than some used items for sale on ebay!
