With an extremely heavy heart I do this, it seems I have come to the end of the road now, and circumstances in life bring along this opportunity for someone else to take over and to own one of the best if not the best Honda Civic SiR (EF9) in the UK, if not Europe.
I have owned this car for almost 8 years and it was a dream to own one since I was very young. When the time came, myself and a close friend helped me import it. After that I have been through a bit of a journey with the car bringing it to what it is today. At the moment it's a very expensive garage ornament and very rarely gets driven, just look at how many miles its done over the past 5 years. I have a 120 page build up thread of this car over on the 4th generation civic forum (4guk . co . uk), when it was first imported and all the changes it went through over the year, and they are a lot. It's worth a read if you have some time, if not, the spec is listed below. 1990 Honda Civic SiR 2 JDM Import EF9 113000km 12 Months MOT Tintop Model Auto Climate Control – A/C Removed Electric Power Folding Mirrors 3rd Brake Light Bronze Glass Exterior: Full Respray in OEM Flint Black Metallic including engine bay (NH-526M) Original and completely mint and rust free arches and sills Fully Undersealed Chassis with Dynax S50 - sills filled from inside using 4 way nozzle Colour coded bump strips Rear bumper properley modified for right hand side exhaust exit OEM Midwing OEM Wind Deflectors OEM Stanley Foglights OEM Mudflaps OEM Door Decals OEM Seatbelt Holder DX Black Rear Garnish Special Edition Decal PurpleSpeed Front Splitter (extremely rare, only one in UK, possibly Europe) Chargespeed Rear Wing bonded onto EF9 wing Tegiwa Number Plate Tilt Bracket 12x7 Front Plate 13x7 Rear Plate Aerodynamics Carbon Fibre Bonnet Honda Jazz Washer Jets Interior: OEM Dash Mat OEM Floor Mats OEM Double Din Console DC2 Steering Wheel Recaro Speeds (from evo 4) OEM Recaro Seat Covers in Black Modified OEM Seat Rails to take Recaro's ITR Gear Knob ITR Shifter ITR Red Stitched Gear Gator JDM Flare and Holder Alpine MP3 Headunit Kenwood 3 Way Door Speakers Broadway Style Rear View Mirror Wheels/Tyres: 15" Mugen RNR - 15X6.5 ET +38 - freshly powdercoated and in the rare offset! 195/50R15 Bridgestone Turanza Tyres Motorbike Short Air Valves Open Ended Steel Wheel Nuts Brakes: Rover 620Ti Front Calipers Rover MG ZS Rear Calipers 282mm EBC Front Discs 262mm EBC Rear Discs ADL Blueprint Front Pads ADL Blueprint Rear Pads Goodridge SS Braided Brake Hoses 1” Master Cylinder and MB6 Servo Motul RBF600 Racing Brake Fluid Chassis: KW Variant 1 Coilover Suspension Freshly Powdercoated Front Crossmember Freshly Powdercoated Rear Subframe With Fully Rebuilt Manual Steering Rack Energy PolyUrethane Bushes throughout Spoon/Teknica Front Upper Strut Brace Cusco Rear Upper Strut Brace Beaks Rear Lower Strut Brace D2 Racing Rear Toe Arms CyberSpeed Rear Camber Arms ADL Balljoints 16v TRE Conversion with new TRE's Full Geo setup on Hunter machine (0 toe all round, 3 degree camber up front, 1 on rear) Performance: B16A (Gen 2-170HP model) from similar mileage Del Sol SiR Y1 Gearbox (non-LSD) just stripped, casings soda blasted and rebuilt HKS OBD0 4-2-1 Exhaust Manifold Custom 2.25" Manifold Back Exhaust System Freshly Powdercoated Candy Purple Rocker Cover with new gasket and O rings DC2 Oil Cap FEELS ECU Map (OBD0) Hondata Inlet Manifold Gasket EK9 Throttle Cable KOYO Aluminium Radiator 10” Slim Fan Samco Black Radiator Hoses 70A PU Filled Engine Mounts J&R outer CV Joints 12Tune Magnetic Sump Plug 12Tune Magnetic Gearbox Drain Plug Mobil 1 10w40 Engine Oil Landrover MTF94 Gear Oil HAMP Short Oil Filter Odyssey PC680 Race Battery relocated to the boot in proper PC680 tray A few niggles include: Slight crunch into 3rd gear, ONLY when changing from redline in 2nd Exhaust sometimes vibrates against ARB, stiffer exhaust rubbers will sort this and I aim to have this sorted before sale It was painted about 5 years ago and although the paintwork is like glass, there are a couple of nicks in the paint, I could probably count these on one hand. Apart from that it's in astonishingly good condition for a 25 year old Civic and it makes my 5 year old Audi look very inferior. It is rather low and it handles very well, I take it for the odd blast up over the moors and with 170hp (ish) it is still so much fun, it has solid mounts and solid bushes so apart from the vibrating it is a very nice little car to drive. The car is in my name, logbook is in my name. |
