Classic Direct Furniture is a young, dynamic family owned business, operating in the South of Sydney. We have been trading for over four years and are passionate about beautiful furniture and customer satisfaction.

We specialise in French Provincial, French Country, Rococo and Victorian styles furniture; finding inspiration for our ranges in Baroque, Vintage and Old World periods.

Our furniture is manufactured to our specifications and we are always working on increasing our ranges.

By dealing directly with the factories manufacturing our furniture, cutting out buying agents, wholesalers and retail costs, we manage to keep our prices very low for the high level of quality our customers have come to expect from us.

You are welcome to make an appointment to view items prior to purchase, giving you peace of mind that you know you are getting quality furniture.

Pick Up

An appointment time must be agreed upon in advance to ensure your item is accessible & out ready for collection. We are very accommodating & flexible with pick up times. As a standard guide, aim to let us know at least 1.5 days prior to your desired pick up time.

Sydney Orders

We organise shipping throughout Sydney metro areas generally within a week of purchase. Delivery is with a third party delivery company who require a 4 hour window within business hours, on a weekday agreed to by the customer. Live tracking is available for the delivery & a phone call can be requested # minutes prior to delivery. Delivery rates are for a single driver and large items will require an able bodied person to receive the delivery and assist the driver in unloading.

Interstate Orders

We do sell to customers across the rest of Australia with the customer organizing their own reputable furniture carrier of their choice. If you do not have someone in mind, we have people we can recommend to many locations. Your removalist must contact us directly in advance to organise a pickup appointment.

Shipping

We are a Sydney based company.

Sydney Metro: We organise shipping throughout Sydney metro areas generally within a week of purchase. Delivery is with a third party delivery company who require a 4 hour window within business hours, on a weekday agreed to by the customer. Live tracking is available for the delivery & a phone call can be requested # minutes prior to delivery. Delivery rates are for a single driver and large items will require an able bodied person to receive the delivery and assist the driver in unloading.

It is the customers responsibility to ensure items can fit & be maneuvered into the desired room / space. If there is difficulty, the delivery driver will leave the item/s with the customer to work out their own arrangements.

You are also welcome to pick up yourself by advanced appointment.

Payment

Acceptable forms of payment - Cash on pick up. Visa & Master Card. Bank deposit.

Payment must be made in full prior to collection / shipping of furniture.

Items cannot be released until funds have cleared into our account. Bank remittance e-mails are not sufficient.

For in stock items, payment in full is required to secure the item.

Terms & Conditions

Our beautiful furniture is delivered to your home by independent, third party couriers. The couriers are not part of, nor affiliated with Classic Direct and only assist with delivery of our products nationwide. They will not unpack, assemble, or take away packaging.

Please note that courier fees are based on deliveries where there is ground floor access only. Additional charges will apply for residences/offices that require access up stairs or over balconies (this will be assessed by the delivery courier upon arrival at your home / residence). You must evaluate and measure the access to your location to ensure that products fit upon delivery. In the event that the product does not fit and has to be returned to us by the courier, a second delivery fee is applicable for the return.

Please note that the small bump or blemish that may occur during shipping.

Returns

Returns are at the discretion of the seller and are not obligatory.

Provided the seller agrees to a return, the items are in perfect condition & wrapped in their original packaging appropriate for re-sale, the return must be within seven days of receipt.

There is a 15% restocking & handling fee for each item.

There is no refund of shipping cost & return shipping is at customers expense.

There are no returns on sample, seconds, sales or clearance stock.

In the unlikely event that there is an error or the item is not what was expected, we must be notified within seven days of receipt so that we can resolve the issue and leave you with a pleasing result.

Care Recommendations

The location of your furniture can affect its longevity. Placing furniture where it can touch external walls can create moisture built-up, and placing it too close to radiators, heaters and gas or wood fires can increase the risk of scorching damage, discoloration or cracking. Sharp objects such as buckles, rungs and even the claws of your pets can tear, scratch or break the furniture. Protect from direct sunlight and rotate reversible cushions at regular intervals. Vacuum cushions weekly on low suction and take care with surfaces.

Always avoid cleaning painted timber with liquids and harsh chemicals. To clean your painted timber surface, use a dust cloth or feather duster to remove dust and debris. Removing dust is essential as dust collection absorbs and holds moisture on humid days and damp evenings, causing the timber to expand/crack. You may use a slightly damp cloth or mild detergent in lukewarm water to remove liquids that might stain, however be sure that the cloth is not soaked excessively and the surface is dried with a clean dry cloth immediately after wetting.

Protect your timber furniture from excessively hot temperatures such as from dishes heated on the stove-top or in conventional or microwave ovens. The general rule is: if something is too hot to hold, it is too hot to place on timber. These hotter containers can mark the timber. The lacquer is also water resistant, however cannot tolerate excessive quantities of liquid. Dry any spills immediately and polish the surface, otherwise liquid may seep through the lacquer and cause irreparable damage. Other spills, such as glue or correction fluid, should be removed with a damp soapy cloth then dried and re-polished until the gloss returns.
