AIRFIX BATTLE OF WATERLOO FARM DIORAMA BASE. 1:72 SCALE

You get the two plastic vac formed unpainted pieces pictured. They were originally part of the 2008 re-issue of the Airfix Battle of Waterloo box set (see my other listings).

No original packaging.

I think the idea is that you trim the edge from one piece and glue it to the other to form the diorama. This then provides you with a textured farm yard for the Le Haie Sainte Farm House (not included), the main road outside the farm gate, a sandpit, pond and small hill etc...

If based on an MDF board, flocked and painted this would make a great diorama base.

Dimensions - before any trimming each piece is approx 60cm x 30cm.

NOTE:  These items are tricky to pack into the permitted mailing size. I have found that the best solution is to bend them so they fit inside a large box. However there is the risk that sometimes they may crack or tear in places during transit. This damage is usually easily overcome when the items are glued and painted. BUT please only buy on the basis that the base may arrive with some tears or cracks as outlined.

Not suitable for young children. Plastic colour may vary from that shown in the stock photo.

Drum & Flag Tip: Always wash plastic figures in warm soapy water, rinse well and allow to dry as preparation before painting. This removes the moulding agent that sometimes makes the paint not want to stick. Stirring and/or shaking your paint throughly also ensures you get a good quality application and finish. Varnish to protect your paint work.
