Up for Auction is my Epiphone Popa Chubby signature series Flying V Guitar.

Epiphone only produced these between 2001-2003 based on Brooklyn guitar slinger Popa Chubby's custom flying v.

Its basically a vintage style korina with a few of Popa's modifications

Instead of the usual humbuckers, it has a set of Seymour Duncan designed P90 pickups giving it a darker growl. it also has a tortoiseshell pickguard too, gold hardware, grover tuners, and a subtle Popa Chubby font on the truss rod cover.

I recently replaced the orginal pots as they were getting a bit crackly, if i remember right i changed them to 500k ones. all pro done by a top sheffield guitar tech. i also changed the original black knobs to gold ones as one of them broke. i think i;ve still got the original ones so i'll put them in the case if i have.

The guitar is in excellent condition, i bought it new in 2003 and it has rarely been gigged, there's a couple of tiny dents on the back of the guitar (belt buckle) but they haven't even broken the lacquer so are bearly noticable.

It's set up with a set of 10's with a medium action, the guitar plays beautifully and sounds awesome., The P.90's add more of a growl to the usual humbuckers, but still retaining the single coil twang., really versatile, the neck pickup reminds me of a tele neck pickup, while the bridge sounds to me like a cross between a humbucker & a Filtertron!.  full and twangy! every tone from Albert King to ZZ top can be coaxed out of this guitar.

The guitar comes with a brown gibson style hard case, with very eye catching pink plush lining!

It's also from a smoke & pet free home so doesn't stink of dogs or fags!

I paid around £370 for the guitar new, and the case cost me around £70. these guitars are getting quite collectable now, and they don't crop up on ebay very often.

Genuine reason for sale is that i've been doing more and more gigs semi acoustic recently and the Flying V has unfortunately taken a back seat lately so i'm selling it to raise funds (hopefully) for a White Falcon!

The guitar will be sent via UPS next day courier, which because of its size will cost £30. i'll pack bubble wrap inside the case to protect the guitars neck, i'll also package up the case well. i've sold guitars on ebay before and had no problems.

Unfortunately i will not post overseas.

Alternatively you can collect in person if you want.
