eBay
Up for auction is this large assortment of postage stamps dating back to between the 1860s to 1940s. This postage stamp collection, along with a bunch of old pictures and other random papers, was found by me inside a wooden chest (not included in sale) and on the side of the road in Glendora, CA. I looked up approximately 5% of the stamps on ebay and found some selling for $5 - $8 but most of the ones I looked up were not worth much at all. I did not take this collection to any type of antique store or appraiser. I did not make any phone calls to any similar place to figure out its worth. I don't know anything about old stamps. Most if not all of these stamps are used...I think. Like I said I don't know anything about stamps but many of these have a cancel mark on them. In the pictures provided you will see dates and stamp denominations in pencil. I did not write this information on the envelopes. They were like that when I found them. What I did do though was take 1 or 2 stamps out of each envelope and set them on top so you can see an example of whats inside each envelope. I also did write in dark blue marker on each envelope the approximate quantity inside. The quantity inside envelopes is of the same stamp which is displayed on top.  That number is the biggest number written in maker on each envelope.  In addition to all the envelopes you see in the pictures you will also get the approximate 2000 stamps that were scattered in the bottom of this old wood box.  If you are interested in these stamps make sure to use the full capability of the ZOOM FEATURE ON EACH PHOTO in order to get a close up view of all the stamps. Using this feature will allow you to see all the stamps and writing on envelopes in detail. Not included in the sale is the chest, the old papers, and the old photos. Only the stamps are included and each and every stamp that was originally in this old box is included. I am not keeping any stamps for myself. This auction will have NO RESERVE so bid with confidence. If you have any questions I will do my best to answer. Thanks for looking.

Please note: If you click on a picture it will blow it up large and still allow you to zoom in. After you click on the picture just look for the small "zoom'' box below the picture. Click on the small plus sign next to the word "zoom" and continue clicking on the plus sign until picture is blown up 100%. To me this is a better way to view items than just scrolling over to zoom.
