HP StorageWorks EK1502 U320 SCSI Array with 14X HP 146GB 10K LVD/SE HDD's ** 2TB

This auction is for an HP StorageWorks EK1502 U320 SCSI Array Cluster with (14) HP 146GB 10K LVD/SE Hot-Swap Hard Drives included, so unit has 2TB of total storage. For some reason this model doesn't come up on HP's support site, but I'm almost positive that it's the same as their model MSA30. Manuals, specs, etc. for the MSA30 can be found by clicking:

Very clean former county government property, fully functional when removed from service during network upgrades. This was originally connected to an HP NAS server, which I have also in case you're interested. First seven bays have HP model BD14686225 drives installed, and the rest have HP model BD14685A26, as shown in pictures, but they're all the same specs. Drives have been software wiped to DOD standards & are ready to be formatted. Enclosure is standard 19" rack mountable, with (2) redundant power supply/fan units. I believe the power supplies are hot-swap also, with self-contained fan units that can be replaced individually from the power supplies, if ever needed. Chassis also has one EMU module & one U320 SCSI module installed, per pictures. Powers up fine & drives all spin up with no error lights. Photos are of actual items being sold. Will ship via FedEx within the US, quality packed & fully insured.

Note regarding shipping cost:
This is a heavy unit weighing about 75 lbs. total with the drives installed. It will ship in two separate boxes, with the chassis in one and the hard drives/carriers in the other. The price for shipping that you see is calculated for the weight of chassis only, I will cover the cost myself to ship the drives, which will save you some money. This only applies for shipments within the US, if going International I will need to charge shipping cost on the hard drives also.

I return all feedback received, sometimes it takes me a few days, but it will happen. For the extremely rare occasion (maybe once in the last 10 years) that damage occurs during shipping, it will be the responsibility of buyer to initiate and pursue a claim with the shipping company, normally Fedex. Items are described as accurately as possible and if said to be tested and working, then you can be assured it will ship that way. If sold "as is", buyer assumes all risk of any untested problem that may be present, with all sales final. I will NEVER auction something with known issues, without mentioning them in the listing, but I buy lots of equipment and sometimes acquire pieces that I either don't have the expertise to test, or don't have other equipment on hand required to perform testing, so occasionally have no choice but to sell those items "as is". Auctions are always "what you see & read is what you get", so if something is not shown in photos or described in text, such as interface cables, power cords, software, etc., it's probably not included. I'll be happy to answer questions by email, just please ask before, not after bidding. If upon delivery a problem is found that contradicts any statement made on auction and buyer decides to bypass a damage claim with the shipping company and instead return merchandise directly to me, then they will be responsible for return shipping cost along with a restock fee equal to 20% of bid amount, neither of which is refundable. I will then inspect and test merchandise and issue a refund if complaint is justified & serial numbers match. Items to be returned directly to me will only be accepted if I'm notified of such by email within 24 hours of delivery.
