SUNBURST REX BEGONIA Begonia Rex-cultorum hybrid ‘SUNBURST’ PLANT in 7.5cm POT

This exotic indoor foliage plant can be grown outdoors in subtropical to tropical climates, or indoors in zones 8-9. Prefers good light levels, and morning sun (avoid hot afternoon sun). Likes frost free climates with high humidity. Great well-lit bathroom plant. This ‘Sunburst’ clone has beautifully marked foliage in grey-green and Pinks.

Our tips for growing Rex Begonia (some people find them more difficult than other Begonias) are to avoid cold, wet and still conditions by:

  1. Growing Rex Begonias in bright morning light
  2. Only water when dry in winter and just bring back to moist, don’t leave sitting in water
  3. Water in morning so dryer again by evening
  4. Keep in areas where they get good air movement
  5. If you do have problems with Mildew spray foliage with a foliar fungicide like ‘Baycor’ or ½ tsp Bicarb of Soda in 500ml water.

Well-established plant in 7.5cm diameter pot. Not available to NT, WA, TAS, or overseas.
