Pat‘s Harmony-written by Page Cooper. Copyright 1952, no other date given. Printed price on the DJ flap is $1.00. Hardcover with DJ, a World Junior Library book published by World Publishing Company. The book measures approximately 5½  x 8¼  inches, and is 212 pages long. It is illustrated by Oliver Grimley, and the DJ design is by Phillip Marini.

Summary: Pat has plans for her horse, Harmony to become a champion jumper. But Harmony is lost on the range, and presumed dead. When he is found, he is thin and weak, having almost starved to death. The story is of Pat and her devotion to him, as she brings him back to health. A friendship develops between the two of them, that make them inseparable, and ultimately Pat reaches her goal and then some.

Condition: Very good. The interior has one small margin stain, no tears or creases, and the only writing is a former owner’s info in the corner of the inside of the front cover. The page edge surfaces, viewed when the book is closed, are clean. The binding is secure and tight. The spine has a slight 1/8 inch slant. The cover edges are good. One corner is very slightly bumped, and the corners each have a single small rub mark. The covers are clean and lay flat. The spine ends have some small folds. The DJ has a great vintage illustration which displays well. There is a small tear on the far left window of the barn, and a small piece missing at a bottom corner. Other corner losses are minor. Edge tears are mostly small nicks, with the exception of a 5/8 inch closed tear on the top edge of the front. The jacket also has some rubbing, minor chipping and some small wrinkle/crease lines. It is overall clean and protected from further wear under a new Brodart archival cover.

Books will range in condition from poor copies still valued for their artwork and story, to excellent condition copies from my private library that have only been read once. Many will be ex-library books which may include any or all of the following: Pocket, slip, bar code, stamps, stickers, spine markings, or signs of the removal or partial removal of such markings. I will do my best to describe the books as well as I can, but do not check every page of every book, so I expect that some flaws might pass through unnoticed. I am not an expert on the correct terms to use and how to grade condition. Feel free to ask any questions you would like before bidding. I am available to return email several times a day. Check my feedback, and bid with confidence, YOUR SATISFACTION IS GUARANTEED! Please contact me immediately if there is a problem with your item, and I will do my best to make it right.
