Neil Orrell Triple triangle Track Frame & Forks This is a beautiful English 1980's track frame and forks built by Neil Orrell of Manchester in the yellow and blue team colours. The frame is Reynolds 531 designer select steel so is very light. Click on the images to view larger or here for larger and more images. The Frame is 61cm/ 24" from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the seatpost and 59cm/22.5" along the top tube. 27.2 seatpost, english threaded BB shell, I" treaded fork with headset and Sugino high column nut, Wheels are not included in the auction. The frame does not have any dents but the paint work is quite chipped from general storage, propping and locking up. C&G finishes who did the original paint have now improved their finish and can re-do the paint, I've heard that Neil Orrell drives up with the decals himself to supervise their application. You can also call him with the serial number (as he is still making frames) to get a full history of the frame. I already have another Orrell track frame and got this one for fear of my original one being damaged or stolen and to have this as a backup/sunday best bike. Unfortunately it is just a bit too big and the mounting cost of our property renovation is forcing me to sell this stunning frame (I would like to hang it on the wall but the other half isn't too pleased with that idea). I bought this frame from the original owner who rode for the Neil Orrell team when he was younger. The frame is located in South Hackney near Broadway market, your welcome to come and view the frame before the end of the auction if you live near. Please let me know if you would like more information or pictures. On 05-Aug-12 at 16:33:10 BST, seller added the following information: Measurements are c-t 61cm/24" and c-c 59cm/23.23"(not 22.5"). |
