This auction is for the above antique western curb iron bit, bridle and reins. I have very little knowledge regarding these items, so most of the descriptions was learned during my research. I believe this is an early August Buermann bit because of the mark; A B on the outside of the top point of a five pointed star ( see photo # 5). The bridle is only marked with the number 22 on the end of the head piece leather (see photo #12). The Head Piece, Throat Latch, Browband and Cheek Pieces are studded; I believe the studs are nickle. This bit and bridle were purchased from the same person I purchased the vintage high back, bear trap saddle I currently have listed in a separate auction. All items are in excellent condition, but please refer to photos for actual condition. If there are any experts out there that know more about these items I will be happy to post the information here for all to see. Please take a look at my vintage high back, bear trap saddle, Hermann Heiser saddle and set of M1904 military saddle bags I currently have listed in separate auctions. This auction is only for the above photographed Buermann bit and studded bridle. Please feel free to ask questions prior to bidding. Payment is expected within 5 days from close of this auction. Please take a look at my other auctions and check back often. I am always listing military items dating from WWI to modern day and occasionally random items like this bit and bridle. International buyers please note that the winning bid and shipping charges do not include custom's charges. Any custom charges are to be paid by the buyer. Posted with eBay for iPad
