Item Description:

This is an oil on canvas painting which just came out of an estate here in Arizona. It shows a great western scene of a bearded prospector with 2 pack mules walking across what looks to be the California desert (possibly the Palm Springs area or Death Valley). The painting has been wonderfully done and is signed on the bottom right and dated 1932. It is a little difficult to make out the signature, possibly McClure? or McClive?

There are 3 areas where there are tears in the painting, one is a L tear by the donkeys hooves and 2 others are straight tears in the area of the sky. The canvas size is 15 inches high by 23 3/4 inches across. The frame measures 18 inches tall by 27 inches across. The frame is an old wooden frame and looks to be original with the painting.
