If you've changed to larger tires without changing the axle's gears, then this is the answer for restoring your Toyota's performance and to gain back the lost power. In addition, you'll get the crawl capability you seek on the trail.

This ring and pinion set from Trail Gear is a 5.29 ratio. It fits minitruck pickups and 4 Runners with V6 or turbocharged 4 cylinder engines, with the 8" (7.8") rear axle. It will not work in IFS front ends. This ratio is recommended for tires 35"and larger.

For a high performance and high reliability setup, install it with the differential setup kit (140032-1) and a solid spacer (140060-1-kit) Both items can be found in the Axle Parts or Totally Toyota categories of our eBay store.
