Original 40s Embroidered Day Dress

Description

A lovely day dress from the 1940s, beautifully handmade. Very soft and lightweight linen in pale pink with pretty hand embroidered floral design. Blouse style buttoned bodice with short puff sleeves. Panelled, gently flared skirt which falls just below the knee. Patch pockets. Unlined. Fastens with early brass YKK zip at side.

Condition

Very good for a day dress of this age, strong and very wearable-there is some stress to seams on skirt near pockets, tiny marks to inside of one sleeve and one on back hem and a repair to back waist seam none of these are very noticeable at all (see last 4 photos)
