1965 Mosrite Ventures Model Guitar (ser # 2818), VG+, original sunburst finish, Moseley tailpiece, truss-rod adjusts at heel, normal wear, 8-screw pickguard, 1965 body & neck dates, pickup covers have Mosrite of California (no circled "R"), M-knobs (with "V" and "T"), recent refret with Dunlop Accu-Fret #6340 (closest modern fret to the original speed frets), unfortunately the serial # was sanded-off during refret, replaced tone pot (original in case pocket), original brown gator hardshell case. 

Case: Original brown gator case with red poodle interior lining, very good overall condition, replacement leather handle.

Notes about pics: 
  • The pic of the serial # was taken when I first bought this guitar before I had the neck refretted.  The serial # is virtually gone, although a remnant of the # "2" is still barely visible.
  • The pic of the wiring harness was taken before the tone pot was replaced.  The tone pot could likely be cleaned to work again, the tone pot is included in the case pocket.

  • Neck Date: NOV 8 1965 (stamped with black ink under finish, & also with stock # 0015)
  • Body Date: OCT 14 1965 (stamped with dark-blue ink, also twice with stock # 021, & some indecipherable hand-written initials...)
  • Neck pickup reads 12.0 K
  • Bridge pickup reads 11.8 K

  • Tone Pot is frozen (in case pocket): 134 6534 (34th week of 1965), 134 = Centralab, 500K
  • Part #: BA811 - 3901

  • Volume pot works good: 134 6534 (34th week of 1965), 134 = Centralab, 500K
  • Part #: BA811 - 3901

  • Tone capacitor, brown/tan ceramic disk: CRL, .05 +/- 20%, 50V

  • 1 intonation screw is not original, but is a very close match (1 original broken screw in case).

  • Returns & Approval period: I allow a 48 hour approval period on this guitar, with a full refund less s/h costs both ways. Buyer must notify me within this 48 hour window of the intent to return the item, in order for the return to be accepted. A return item must be returned in the same condition as it was sent. A refund will be issued after the instrument is returned & fully inspected/evaluated.
  • Shipping: $75 to continental USA.
  • Insurance: Insurance cost will be calculated at list price.
  • Overseas Buyers: I will sell to overseas buyers, but I will only ship to USA; and, I ask that international buyers to please make arrangements to find a US broker for rehandling across borders...thank you for your understanding. Also, I will not misrepresent this item for duties/tax purposes.
