For sale a customised Lenovo ThinkPad X200s, model 7465-CTO.

This unit was upgraded with the following:
* a very fast and responsive 120Gb Samsung SSD SATAII drive that allows it to boot Windows10 in 10 seconds
* a fast and power efficient Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200AGN wireless card.
* a Boe Hydis AFFS Flexview screen (see further).

The laptop is used but in great condition with no marks around the casing, a tiny - almost invisible - scratch on the back of the lid and virtually no shine visible on the keyboard, which was replaced recently.

The CCFL LCD screen of this laptop is a Boe Hydis AFFS HV121WX4-120: a matte screen with a nearly 180-degree viewing angle and stunning contrast. This screen is incomparably superior to the stock Lenovo screen, as photo 8 shows. Unfortunately this screen develops some light bleeding in the corners, especially when used at maximum brightness, as shown in photo 9 (please note that the other non circled light spots in the pictures are artifacts of the camera and do not show on the screen). The light bleeding is an imperfection particularly visible on dark backgrounds, but it doesn't compromise the brilliant colours, contrast and wide viewing angle of this screen.

The laptop has an integrated 2MP webcam (not the stock 1.3MP), a genuine 4 cell Lenovo battery and a 90W non-OEM PSU. The battery holds 2.30 hours under the 'balanced' profile.

It can come with no OS, Ubuntu Linux 10.04, or the Technology Preview version of the upcoming Windows 10 - installed and configured, at buyer's choice. Sorry, no Windows7 or 8 as I don't have the discs. A Windows Vista Business COA is attached to the bottom of the unit.

This is a fast and lightweight laptop (the total weight is 1.4Kg) that runs the upcoming Windows 10 very comfortably.
