You are bidding on a beautiful small Jazz Guitar from Dutch brand Egmond, model Lucky 7, according to the previous owner from 1963.

This now totally unique looking guitar has been stripped off the original paint completely (since it was totally gone in a bad, not in a good relic way). Below the paint, traces of worms can be found all over the guitar. I do not know if the worms are still active, but I didn't see any and it seems like they are long gone. Please note: The worm channels are part of the charme and unique look of this guitar. DO NOT BID if you are not aware of this and want to complain about it afterwards.

After the stripping of the paint, the guitar was oiled with high quality Tung oil, the same as the one being used by many instrument builders. The back of the headstock was not stripped in order to preserve the original "Made in Holland" sticker and the serial number. No parts have been replaced except the bridge. The original was made of plastic (!) and was completely broken.

The electric system of the guitar works fine. The guitar playes well, however, from the 12. fret upwards on the high E strong, it's full of dead spots. This is due to the slighlty curved neck (it has no truss rod). Tuners and frets or ok, but not good as new. The guitar was cleaned and comes with new strings attached. I don't know if it ever had a second pick up.

Back to the body: the worms have eaten their way on some parts all through the body, so body and sides hat to be attached with glue to each other again - this is noticeable (see last picture). The guitar will be shipped in an old guitar bag.

Again: PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT AWARE OF THE CONDITION OF THIS GUITAR AND DO NOT ACCEPT IT AS IT COMES.

This is a private auction, no warranties or returns. Shipping within EU only, 30 Euros.
