Vintage Conn 98M Low A Baritone Saxophone
Excellent condition. Recently overhauled and customized by Mike Manning in NYC. The lacquer was intentionally removed for tonal reasons. All custom copper resonators measured to fit each tone hole exactly. All solid copper finger buttons and rollers. Not only does the copper look great it feels great too; very smooth and comfortable. Custom made white ROO pads. Pads and corks in great shape. This horn needs NOTHING! It roars right now... In fact, I sold 2 other Mark VI baritones that didn't play as good as this Conn. The scale is very even throughout every register and into the altissimo. Very centered tone, but not too dark... Serial # is 91,xxx. My reason for selling is that I recently acquired a beautiful Low A Super Balanced that will become my main horn. This horn has been played by me on numerous tours and recordings including the Diana Ross Tour from 2010 to present day. I will also include the clamps that I've used on it. It will come in a brand new Protec contoured case that it will also be shipped in.
