'Deeper Visions' Video-Enhanced 3rd Album NFD, the visceral London based darkwave / goth oriented rock band featuring former members of Fields Of The Nephilim, are set to release their third album, 'Deeper Visions', on Jungle Records, distributed by SRD on April 28th. 'Deeper Visions', which contains 6 new studio tracks plus two remixes, totalling around 40 minutes of audio, is enhanced with four video clips, including the promo video for lead track, 'When The Sun Dies', which is released as a single on March 17th. The promo video, filmed at a live show at the London Astoria 2, can be seen at youtube.com/junglerecords. 'Deeper Visions' should retail for less than £8.00. NFD were formed 5 years ago when Tony Pettitt, Fields of the Nephilim founder member and originator of their unique bass sound, split from Carl McCoy after the protracted ‘Fallen’ sessions. He teamed up with vocalist and songwriter Peter ‘Bob’ White and sometime Nephilim drummer Simon Rippin, and recruited Chris Milden and Steve Carey for live guitar duties. NFD’s debut album, ‘No Love Lost’, released in 2004, had fans of the genre slavering. “Finely detailed yet explosively rough, ‘NO LOVE LOST’ simply devastates and lays waste to every other gothic wannabe band of the last decade with perhaps the finest example of musicianship the scene has produced since the late 80’s” enthused Alex Whitehead in Rock Sound’s December 2004 issue. The band’s second album, ‘Dead Pool Rising’, released in 2006, elicited even more praise. “‘Dead Pool Rising’ boasts nine scything, windswept epics that are as brooding and dramatic as any HIM Record, but 100 times more menacing and otherworldly… Fearsome Stuff. KKKK” wrote Dom Lawson in Kerrang! on 06.06.06. “This cracking follow-up to 2004’s astonishing debut ‘No Love Lost’ takes that much-loved, dusty goth template of yore and injects it with liberal lashings of passion and creative fire to achieve a sound reminiscent of 1988’s classic ‘The Nephilim’ album, but boasting a thoroughly modern big rock sheen. NFD have gigged extensively, playing over 100 concerts and festivals in 12 countries, alongside the likes of The Mission, Mortiis, Umbra Et Imago and 69 Eyes. Now a tour is being arranged to coincide with the release of ‘Deeper Visions’.
