You are bidding for my JDM (1995) auto Subaru Legacy GT BG5 Twin-turbo which was blown a head gasket and I cannot afford to have it repaired.

The car was running without fault up to a week ago when the gasket blew and pressurised the cooling system. The engine is fine otherwise, and there is no coolant in the oil. Initially I was told that it was the radiator which had failed and I replaced it with a new one. However, the final diagnosis is a failed head gasket – otherwise all is well.

The car has only covered approximately 130,000 Km and is in remarkably good order. The MOT runs out in 15th March and the car will NOT be Road Taxed (I will be surrendering the tax disc during the next week) . I am NOT breaking it for spares as I don’t have the facilities or inclination to remove parts etc.

The car is repairable or used as a donor vehicle, and either way, the successful bidder will require to have the car taken away by trailer – it must be considered a non-runner due to the head gasket.

The starting price is set at £150 (the amount I would get for scrapping the car). There is no radio/ cd-player fitted to the car.

There is no reserve so happy bidding and good luck!

I think it is worth mentioning that the bodywork is in exceptional condition with no dents, dings, serious scratches or rust and the new radiator which cost £160 to supply and fit is still installed.

*** STOP PRESS ***

I have not yet relinquished the road tax which expires at the end of July 2012.

The successful bidder has the option of adding £68 (being a full 4 months tax) to the winning bid which means they can keep the car taxed until MOT'd and repaired.
