You are bidding on 7, 6-8 inch cuttings from a fig tree my father-in-law brought back from Italy about 25 years ago. The tree is in RI and has survived many cold winters. The tree gets buried every Nov and lifted up in the spring. It makes fruit twice a year. Once early summer and again in September. The September harvest is usually more plentiful but that might just be because of the climate here. The tree produces a lot of fruit. Enough to dry and eat all winter. I've sold the cuttings about a year or 2 ago on Ebay and got very positive feedback about the success of rooting ect. I do not know a lot about the specific type of the fig this is other than it came from Acri, Calabria. I tried to improve the pictures this time to help identify the variety of fig this is. I will ship all orders between a April 1-7. The cuttings will be cut the day I ship them. They will be wrapped in a moist paper towel and placed in a plastic bag and shipped in a padded envelope. I have many lots available and will combine shipping. Just add 1 dollar for each additional lot. I will provide a tracking number the day I ship. Please email me if you have any questions or need any further information.
Also please contact me if you are interested in plants that already rooted. Every year there about a dozen new plants growing at the base of this tree. Thanks |
