This is a PS&W 1/4 Inch Heavy Timber Framing Wood Chisel

This early PS&W wood chisel is a long 15-1/4 inches in length with a heavy 1/4-inch-wide blade.  The hardwood handle is in excellent condition with typical light signs of use, a steel end hammering ring, and nice wood finish.  The metal blade is clean aged steel with a sharp edge ready to put to work.  It is marked with the early hand-stamped "PS&W" logo on the blade.

PS&W steel wood chisels typically rate in the Rockwell Hardness Rc 61-62 Excellent Temper range for excellent use on both hardwoods and softwoods with good edge-holding ability.  A solid antique tool for your wood shop for real woodworking use.  Please check the pictures carefully for the condition of this antique tool you are bidding on.  This is one of a large number of fine Wood Chisels I am listing in the coming months.

No Reserve because I originally got it for a fair price and want it to go to a real carpenter, cabinetmaker, or woodworker who will put it to good woodworking use.  Bid the starting bid and it sells to the highest bidder!  Payment is due within 7 days of closing date for bid price plus calculated low USPS Mail shipping plus Delivery Confirmation with no handling fee.  Please note my low shipping costs compared to other sellers as I only charge actual shipping at the lowest cost to you.   Wait for my Invoice to pay so that the shipping cost is correct.

Please check with me if you have any questions.  If you win multiple items on the same weekend, I will combine shipping to lower your cost.  Added postage for a 2nd purchase is usually half the stated postage or less, depending on your address.

If you are bidding from outside the U.S., PayPal only and please check with me on the most cost-effective postage.  Also, please note that whatever your country's Customs fees and charges are, I have no control over that.

Please carefully read my "Return Policy Details" under Shipping and Payments in this listing so there are no misunderstandings.

Watch for my other weekly auctions as I clear my remaining assortment of antique wood chisels and family collectible items so I can get my spare bedroom free of boxes.  Thanks for looking!
