Up for auction is my 1953 Farmall Super M. It was built in the Louisville Plant. The serial number is L-506143 J. The only reason I'm selling it is because I'm moving and I don't have a place to store it indoors. I will go through the basics first and then go through the details and costs that I have invested in to it.

This tractor runs excellent and very strong. Starts instantly.

The sheet metal is good condition. Not poor, not great. The front grill and bonnet is in good to average condition. Theres one horizonital bar in the grill theres bent in, but easily fixed. The bonnet has 1 quarter sized dent and crease in thats runs into the hood. The crease in the bonnet is about 2 inches long and I believe it can be fixed easily. The hood has the crease extending through it as seen in the pictures and has cut/torch marks around the exhaust pipe. The battery box is rotted on the bottom. The drawbar is in good straight condition. No cracks or welds. The pto shield is dented but repairable. The rear rims have light surface rust and very little heavy pitting. Theres no heavy pitting or rot around the valve stems. The rear tires are older tires that have alot of tread left on them but they are dry rotted. The front tires are brand new. The rears are 13.6-38 x 12 (Allstate brand) and the front are 6.50-16 (BKT brand).

The lights used to work but they don't anymore because they are 6 volt and the tractor was converted to 12 volt during the rebuild. The transmission has a clicking noise in 1st gear.

In 2008 I started the rebuilding process. Since the day it was finished and brought home, it has been stored indoors and never outside. It has less then 5 hours on the rebuild. It was a restoration project that I started and never got around to finish it. I have $3498.53 just into the rebuild and it doesn't include what I paid for the tractor. Over $5000 tied up into the tractor. All the receipts verifying the work and costs will be given to the buyer. I didn't do any of the work myself, it was all done by professionals and the parts all came from Hoober so they aren't cheap Chinese parts.
