Being offered on this auction is tableware set of teacup and saucers made by Porzellanfabrik Fasolt & Eichel in their factory in Blankenhain, Thuringia. This is one of the most famous and known German porcelain makers founded in 1790. Fasolt & Eichel owed this factory during 1848 – 1898. They introduced well-known logo - the shield of the Weimar dukes. Fine porcelain produced by this factory is often called Weimar Porzellan. Dishes on this auction are Dishes on this auction are in Art Nouveau style. They of white background decorated with a beautiful embossed pattern of Laurel Wreath with white and yellow flowers. Flowers are so bright and reflect light in different directions, so you can think they are diamonds. Doubled gold trim completes this pattern.
There are five pieces included in this set (all dimensions are approximate):
• 4 Saucers – 5 ½” in diameter (one has hairline);
• 1 Double Handled Soup Cup – 3 ½” in diameter and stands 2” tall (it has pinpoint flake at the rim and dark spot on its body).
Overall condition is fairly good. Colors are bright and vibrant. Gold has no wear. We listed defects above. This is antique china, older than 100 years old. These dishes are rather collectible items although they still can be used. Please take a look at the pictures in our viewer to find out more about this set.
