Up for auction is this Rare Lot of 66 Vintage Buttons from the 1920's to 1950's! A great variety of buttons for all of your vintage sewing projects!
Buttons in the 1st picture, from top, left to right:
~ (1) Black plastic flat button with a silver swirled center circle inlay. Plastic shank back type. Good condition other than some old glue-stick glue. Diameter measures about 1 1/4". Probably from the 1950's.
~ (18) Lightweight type of plastic buttons which have ribbing up to deep scooped center. Two-hole sew through type. A couple have a small crack near the holes, otherwise they are in great condition! Diameter measures about 1 3/4". Art Deco style probably from the 1920's or 30's. --- (5) Peach, (4) Red, (3) Mint Green, (1) Green, (3) Black & (2) Navy Blue.
~ (8) "Hollywood" dark brown plastic buttons with a wooden, tiki-style texture. Two-hole sew through type. Great condition on original card which has some pencil writing & torn at bottom. Diameter measures about 7/8". Probably from the 1930's.
~ (7) "Le Chic Fashionable Buttons" navy blue plastic buttons which have a carved out design. Would look great on sailor or WWII style clothing! Two-hole sew through type. Great condition on original card which is in great condition! Diameter measures about 3/4". Probably from the 1940's.
~ (4) "Movie Star Buttons by Prevue" dark maroon plastic buttons with raised circles/bumps. Two-hole sew through type. Great condition on original card in great condition & features Lucille Bremer! Diameter measures about 7/8". Copyright date of 1948 on card.
~ (7) "Latest Fashion" orange plastic buttons with ribbed pinwheel-style swirls. Two-hole sew through type. Great condition on original card which is bent at the corners and has pencil writing. Diameter measures about 7/8". From the 1920's or 30's.
~ (4) "Pilcher's Detachable Buttons" black metal buttons with raised square design around edges. Stud type. Great condition, I tested all of them and they open easily with a fingernail & snap nicely back together! On original card which is worn & torn. Diameter measures about 11/16". Probably from the 1930's or 40's.
~ (5) "Lucky Lady" pearl buttons, maybe be plastic faux-pearl, and have a wavy, dented look. Shank type. Great condition on original card which has some wear. Diameter measures about 3/8". From the 1950's.
~ (6) "Ultra Kraft" dark red tortoise buttons with raised inner ring. Two-hole sew through type. One button has a small chip along a edge, otherwise all are in great condition on original card which is slightly bent at corners. Diameter measures about 7/8". Probably from the 30's or 40's.
~ (6) "Ultra Kraft" dark teal plastic buttons with carved flower pattern. Two-hole sew through type. Great condition on original card which is nice! Diameter measures about 7/8". Probably from the 30's or 40's.
